Carole has shown herself with some of the people who have influenced her life and informed her work as an artist.
The three heroes she is referring to are Robert Arneson, the West Coast Californian Funk Artist, who Carole was fortunate to work with in TB9, part of the The University of California at Davis in the 1980s;
Obadiah Sherratt, the wonderfully naive and sophisticated Staffordshire potter of the 18th century; and Bernard Leach, represented by a broken brown pot.
Leach's work inspired Carole not to make brown pots and to become a Pop Artist when she was a student at Staffordshire University in the 1960s.( Then Stoke-on -Trent College of Art.)
A very striking piece of ceramic work
