Erica is one of the UK’s leading contemporary fine jewellers and has won a string of prestigious awards including the 2012 British Jeweller’s Association 125th Anniversary Award and the 2013 Houlden Group, Designers of Excellence Touring Collection.
She creates fine jewellery imbued with elegance, beauty and meaning – Unique pieces that are a pleasure and pride to wear, strengthen the bond between giver and wearer and can be treasured for generations.
Inspired by her customers, her precious raw materials, and often nature and heritage, Erica’s design process brings an entire story to life within each piece of jewellery – Combining colour, emotion and personality and delivering a stylish, elegant and distinctive result. She often incorporates her jewels within unique, collectable hand sculpted and illustrated presentation cases.
A pioneer in ethical jewellery production, she works in Fairtrade or recycled precious metals, ethically sourced gemstones and is one of the only jewellers creating unique pieces that combine precious metals and Cornish tin.
Erica was born in rural Somerset to a botanist and zoologist and began designing from the age of 17, illustrating work for local wildlife trusts and posters for campaigns. Following an apprenticeship in a traditional Indian Jewellers, she furthered her jewellery making skills from within the trade and moved back to Somerset to start her own business in 1992.
