The 'Rope Desk' (whose name is pretty self explanatory) was made to demonstrate the technical abilities of Toby and his workshop. The desk itself is made from superb quality American black walnut and features decorative hand-cut marquetry; the marquetry is all hand cut and shaded with hot sand, and the rope effect feeds its way all around and over the desk. Three beautifully crafted handmade sycamore drawers are hidden in the rope frieze rail for extra storage.

From a barn on the outskirts of King's Lynn in Norfolk, Toby Winteringham and his small team of dedicated craftsmen design and create beautiful pieces of high quality, contemporary furniture; having become renowned for their bold and ingenious use of decorative marquetry.

Size: 75 x 160 x 80 cm.
