An anthropomorphic representation of the perpetual greed of those in power, "A Gannet’s Stomach is Never Full" depicts a gannet wearing the same uniform as those donned by members of the infamous Bullingdon Boys club. Without direct finger pointing, it is insinuating that those from a position of privilege and political stature can often fail to understand the needs and wants of the lower classes. The painting itself emulates the style of historical portraiture as a way of acknowledging that greed is by no means a new challenge, but something suffered throughout history.
