It was one of those warm summer mornings when the sea fret was hanging in the trees along the South Bay in Scarborough, North Yorkshire. The trees stood out like ghostly figures in the landscape, and this particular tree lined path can be walked down to the beach. Wendy painted it trying to recreate the same feelings she felt upon finding it, that of an otherworldly magical place. This piece was painted onto handmade Indian rag paper by layering acrylic washes with gold dust mixed into them in such a way that they formed a semi-opaque vista.
