'This painting was the third of a Series called 'Now and Then’, which I undertook when I moved to Haworth, W. Yorkshire in 2010 after living in Italy for 6 years. Haworth is famous for being 'Bronte Country' where the artistic and literary family of the Bronte's lived. I too was taken by the same magic of the moors that must have fascinated the famous Bronte sisters. I therefore did a series of contemporary paintings called 'Now and Then, ' referring to the Haworth of today and the Haworth of yester year as the Bronte sisters knew it' - Judy Sale.
