Jenny Llewellyn is a London based contemporary jewellery designer and maker. Her collections are characterised by their use of handcrafted precious metals, set alongside bold and vibrant bursts of silicone; a real exploration of colour and material.
Initially inspired by the luminous colours, shapes, and movements of creatures from the sea, Jenny’s practice has become increasingly design and process led overtime. Exploring the possibilities of her materials to create works that, after their initial visual impact, captivate through a meticulous attention to detail and eye catching aesthetics. It isn't glass or plastic, hard or fragile, delicate or heavy. Instead, the silicone used is durable, soft, and very comfortable to wear.
Her sculptural inspired jewellery pays as much attention to form and tactility as it does to colour. The result is a range of undoubtedly unique designs, sure to grab peoples attention and vivify any outfit. Jenny’s current collections are "Plume"; a collection which makes clever use of subtle colour fades of vibrant silicone. Her second and newest range, "Chromophobia", features monochrome silicone beads juxtaposed against gold and oxidised silver elements to create a minimalist and versatile range of easy to wear jewellery . There really is something to suit all tastes and styles
