Charlie Macpherson creates unique pieces of hand blown contemporary glass art. His approach balances simplicity of form with a more complicated use of line and pattern. He also incorporates cane techniques into the blowing process before polishing to highlight certain areas or elements of interest.

For Charlie working with blown glass is a very hand’s on experience, and the challenge has always been to make work that uses the natural qualities of light, colour, and transparency, creating pieces that are nothing less than aesthetically stimulating. He enjoys designing pieces that invite the viewer to look more closely at the intricate details he incorporates, allowing them to appreciate more than may have been visible at first glance.

Charlie has won many awards for his work and exhibits internationally. His pieces can be found in both private and public collections.
