Phil Began painting in 1984 after being diagnosed with cancer. He had no idea why he picked up a brush or what he was trying to achieve but began to attempt to recreate what Constable did by recreating his famous landscapes! Naturally Phil failed but it certainly gave him an in-depth insight into art, mediums and methods.
During different traumas in life Phil dipped in and out of painting until finally he left the rat race and turned professional as an artist in 2008. Over a 5 year period Phil developed a high level of skill in recreating wildlife to very fine detail. But moreover he captured the emotional connection in the eyes of each of his subjects.
Phil has worked with various charities and in 2013 worked on several full size gorilla statues that adorned the streets of Norwich culminating in Phil’s work raising £47k for Break Charity and Wild in Art. With over 700 original paintings sold, in collections across the world, Phil’s art is not only strikingly beautiful but is also a strong investment.
Phil Daniels is now a full time professional listed artist working from his gallery studio in north Norfolk, England. Phil’s superbly detailed art has been displayed in the Mall Gallery London and is highly sought after with pieces in collections across the globe.
His art has featured on TV, CD’s, books & gift products. With sales of over 700 original pieces and thousands of limited edition prints. He is one of the UK's most prolific artists and best known for his beautiful wildlife paintings.
As well as creating; Phil also teaches art, from schools/colleges and art groups, through to children in Africa for charity, and raises funds for Wild in Art, Born free foundation and Break Charity through his superb street sculpture art.
