Rebecca studied metalwork and jewellery design at Sheffield Hallam University, it was here where she developed her love for silversmithing, she found working on larger pieces much more challenging and in a sense more rewarding than working on small-scale jewellery. Towards the end of her degree, she received a precious metal bursary award from the Goldsmiths Company; she graduated in 2006 with a BA Honours degree.
After her graduation, she received a place on the starter studio for silversmiths at persistence’s works in Sheffield, going on to gain more awards including the crafts council development award and Goldsmiths graduate stand.
Rebecca Exhibits her own collection of work at a number of events and craft shows around the UK, She also works on awards and commissions, recently she has just finished a commission which has been on show in the museum of modern art in Kuwait and also the packaging for the worlds most expensive coffee which can be purchased in Harrods.
Rebecca’s work caught the eye of the Duke of Devonshire back in 2008 and he still follows and collects her work today.
