Hilary's sculptures bring together things that inspire her in the natural world and mankind’s interaction with it. Inspired by outdoor space and in particular her garden, her most recent body of work consists of sculptural fruits, plants, and flowers, together with the human figure. These are all positive life affirming images.

Hilary has also begun a series of work about ageing, decrepitude, and the failure of ones faculties, something that perhaps lies ahead for many of us. Many of the heads Hilary makes have their interiors made visible. The No One Knows sculptures represent the confusion and business of ones mind, hidden from view beneath a carefully constructed exterior appearance.
